The meeting between the owners of Powers Stone, a company based in Montrose in the United States, and Gaspari Menotti Technologies dates back to 2017 when the US company, owner of granite quarries, decided to start working its blocks internally.
Powers Stone installed a first multiwire machine model GMW 2000 with variable pitch designed to cut slabs using the “inch” as the unit of measurement.
In 2018 a second GMW 2000 multiwire was added, again with “inch” pitch and the collaboration was strengthened with the purchase of the third GMW 2000, installed in the first months of 2022 followed a few months later by the new Smartwire GMW 06 by Gaspari Menotti Technologies.
The Smartwire GMW 06, a unique machine of its kind, allows Powers Stone to also enter the part of the stone market requesting slabs with higher thicknesses than traditional ones.
The machine is designed to work with up to 6 wires which can be modulated at different distances from each other, simultaneously cutting different thicknesses, starting from 20 mm.
The change of the cutting thickness is very easy, very quick and intuitive. The machine can work with a 6.3 mm diameter diamond wire and is equipped with technical solutions widely tested on the other models in the GMW range which guarantee great efficiency and reliability.
The collaboration with Powers Stone demonstrates the ability of Gaspari Menotti Technologies to satisfy the needs of the most demanding customers by providing technologically advanced solutions.
